Aware of the challenges that face Tulum and the difficulty of creating true sustainability, Delek works taking care of all the details from the materials of the construction to the ingredients of the food prepared. Staff knows the great importance of maintaining and respecting the balance of Tulum's ecosystems.
The cabañas were built using methods of sustainable construction to help maintain stability in the dunes area, not exceeding the 12 meters allowed high. Efforts were made to maintain a type of craft design and construction to achieve the harmony of the space with nature. Each cabaña is built with local certified wood and is outfitted with handmade wooden furniture, natural textures and indigenous art crafts from all over Mexico.
Staff cares about the ingredients of the food prepared. With this in mind, Tatewari offers a more sustainable menu based on local, organic and seasonal ingredients, when possible, mainly sourced from the Yucatan Peninsula.
Delek's priority is to respect nature and plant seeds of consciousness. It works at many different levels, using methods of sustainable construction, promoting fair Mexican commerce, collaborating with artisans and indigenous communities, as well as having a more ecological and sustainable approach to the everyday operation. Staff is aware of the long way ahead but is on the right path of creating something different, conscious and full of love.
