The beach "Isla Blanca", is a coastal peninsula that is located in the continental area of the well-known "municipality of Isla Mujeres", which belongs to the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. This island is one of the few that are perfectly preserved in Mexico, it also has a wide tongue of white sand that separates the Chacmuchuc lagoon from the Caribbean Sea. This coastal strip is 20 kilometers long where its narrow part is 500 meters and its widest part is 850 meters. This Island is called "Isla Blanca", since the sea crosses from side to side in the narrow part of it.
